A compact table lamp with sculptural grace, the Niwaki by DCW Editions is inspired by the Japanese art of tree pruning – where every branch is shaped with intention, and nothing is left to chance. Designed by Studio BrichetZiegler, Niwaki carries this spirit into the world of lighting, offering a poetic balance between organic form and thoughtful construction.

The lamp features a soft, layered shade that gently diffuses light, echoing the silhouette of a meticulously shaped bonsai. Resting on a rounded ceramic base, Niwaki emits a warm, ambient glow that brings calm and intimacy to the spaces it inhabits. The materials – ceramic and fabric – are tactile and earthy, grounding the lamp while highlighting its delicate contours.
