B.lux Aspen S40 Pendant Light - 60s rebirth
The B.lux Aspen S40 Pendant Light, a suspension lamp with a dual aluminium shade, available in two formats. Available in several matte lacquer finishes, which can be combined freely: grey, snow, lemon, mango, clear turquoise, and aqua.
The famous German product designer Werner Aisslinger was inspired by the spirit of the 1960s in the USA and named the light series Aspen, manufactured by the Basque design manufacturer B.Lux, after the luxury ski resort located in Colorado. The result is a round cylindrical shape and appealing lacquered colours on the external face of the diffuser. The upper shade opened on top is shorter and provides indirect light. The size of the shade is harmoniously balanced by the lower slightly higher main shade, which casts direct light. Between the two of them, there is a small shadow gap in the shape of a grid structure spreading diffuse light sideways. A smart design with simple, yet successful charm.
